World health day
World health day
7th April since 1950 is marked as World health day, which was first came into action through World health organization i.e., WHO. Every year the agenda is to bring forward and have discussion about the topics which needs people’s attention, and to bring the eye on some major health issues which has affected the world like maternal, mental, childcare and climate change. Due to pandemic, 2020 was the year which has left the world with some major damaging impacts due to which people are still suffering. Covid 19 has made many people sufferer and killed enormous lives then people thought at first.
Above that an issue which was witnessed by many commoners was the inequality towards health supplies. Health is the subject which is not confined to just one individual rather is a right of all, but during the situation people who can afford the standard living, hospitalization and belong to a good environment were given the easy access at priority.
All over the world, some groups not only have limited access to quality health services but also struggle to make ends meet with little daily income, have poorer access to safe housing conditions and quality education, fewer employment opportunities that pay a living wage, inequality, and have little or no access to safe environments, clean water and air and health services, and experience food insecurity. The groups that suffer most from these disadvantages are often the ones who experience gender and ethnic discrimination. These conditions can lead to unnecessary suffering, avoidable illness, and premature death. And it harms our societies and economies.
World health Day 2021- is aiming towards the theme of building a fairer, healthier world, where there would be no inequality while making the world a better place to live. The easy access to health gives the strength to every living human on earth for a longevity of life.
Let’s meet together to work on the current situation and eliminate the differences while coming closure to meet the need.
